I’m Laurie.

I love my family and friends, Pittsburgh, books, beer, writing, football and a whole host of other stuff.  

I live in Pittsburgh. If you’re not familiar with Pittsburgh there are a few things that you should know:  We speak our own language here – Pittsburghese.  We put fries on everything, including our salads.  We love our city so freakin’ much that we talk about how awesome it is all the time. We’re the kind of town where even the most sophisticated and cultured of us will boo your a** off the stage if you talk smack on one of our beloved sports teams.

I like to connect with fellow readers and I love putting the spotlight on local authors or books with a Pittsburgh connection. Lucky for you, there are lots of them. I also wrote my own Pittsburgh set book, What Happens on Sunday, which I am currently blogging here and will be releasing in August.
