Whoa Nelly! Now THAT is a sweater. I’m not sure how I feel about the fashion side of such a sweater, but I’m definitely sure that I feel strongly about how AWESOME it is that Wendy Bell rocks stuff like this on the local news.
News anchor clothes are usually so boring, so it’s nice to count on her for a little pizazz. And quite honestly I am usually totally drooling over the jewelry she wears (they need to tell us where to find it I swear). Now personally, I wouldn’t wear this sweater but like I said, more power to her for wearing something with “personality.”
And for those of you who used to read her now-defunct blog, you would know that she’s got a LOT of personality. Even though I sometimes mocked it, I really wish she would bring her blog back, although I’m pretty sure that blogging is out these days in favor of Facebook and Twitter. Ugh. Seriously, reading somebody’s Facebook comments on the air during a news commentary is so lame to me. Anybody else?
The WHOLE point of watching local news is to see some crazy yinzer/redneck/ghetto fab man/woman on the street interviews. If they take that away from us, we have nothing. Nothing.
